Roost
Four large scale sculptures commissioned for Einar Mattsson’s Haga Nova Development in Stockholm, Sweden
Inspired by the idea of 'coming home' and sanctuary, Roost offered four site-specific, permanent wall sculptures - one for the entrance hall of each building. The four works drew on the characteristic colours of particular birds: flamingoes, peacocks, birds of paradise and Victoria crowned pigeons. These abstract 'bird' forms, which perch on a set of large overlapping copper rings, were created from various of materials including Jesmonite, powder-coated aluminium, resin and porcelain stoneware.
