ENDANGERED SPECIES

 7560 greaseproof paper bags.

UK manufacturers stopped using this supercalendered or glassine paper to produce the bags in response to changing domestic food storage habits.  I obtained the last seven boxes  produced. Each box contained 1080 bags.  Repeatedly exploiting this single, 'endangered' material, I created work processing various ideas around form, volume, space and conservation.

This work included SiN, Swarm, Hive, REserve and Under Glass.
